Expanding course curriculum is nothing new for Firebox IT Training of Golden Colorado. What is new is the public course offerings format which allows for individuals and small groups to sign-up and take classes with live instructor led virtual online classrooms. Firebox now offers an online enrollment process for a select number of their most popular IT training courses through their scheduling website: https://www.fireboxtraining.com/training-schedule
The new interface allows for users to check the schedules of upcoming IT courses and sign-up directly online. Public enrollment for individuals and small groups of five or less is now possible 24/7 in select IT training courses from Firebox Training. The new public courses being offered include incentives for early signup with tiered discounts.
The new Firebox IT course store features “Super Nova” and “Fire Starter” early enrollment discounts. The earlier students commit to a training course, the more participants save on the training services fee. While Firebox Training will be adding more courses to the store, currently students can enroll in Python, UNIX, Linux, OBIEE, XML and Oracle programming courses online.
Firebox continues to be committed to a quality learning experience within the new public IT course offerings. Fifteen students is the maximum number of students in any online course offered by Firebox. “Most of our courses run with seven to nine students”, added Shawn Johnson, Firebox Marketing Director.
“Firebox is a good place to get technical training online. I received great instruction and easy to follow courses. If in-classroom training is not an option, online courses are great option” said a recent Firebox student.
The IT course store is ideally designed with the small staff in mind, where training is needed for just two to five staff members. According to Firebox, most courses for individuals and small groups these days are offered as live interactive instructor-led online courses. The instructor-led online format delivers the right courses, to the right students, when it is needed. “We are able to offer more courses because we are pulling in students from across country” said Shawn Johnson.
“The early enrollment discounts really creates a win/win with our clients and our business model” says founder, Julie Johnson. “It saves our clients on the training budget and allows us to better manage our business.” Johnson continued, “Students can take a remarkable high-level course from exceptional instructors, without the hassle of traveling to a classroom location.”
How can these courses be considered a hands-on learning experience? After enrolling students receive course details, setup documents or depending on the course, students will have access to their own cloud server to use during class. Courses consist of lecture, informal labs and more structured hand-on labs.
While Firebox is now offering more instructor-led online course, they also offer on-site and classroom style training in their Denver training center.
According to Firebox and industry trends, instructor-led online classes are becoming more popular for small business and throughout all educational systems. Public schools and colleges have turned to online courses as a viable alternative to the traditional classroom style. It save times and money to take a class online compared to traveling to a location for a classroom.
Many companies would aim for taking courses directly from OracleUniversity, but the expense is high and scheduling can be a challenge. With Firebox students can learn the technology and get the same certification with more flexibility and without breaking the IT training budget.
Firebox Training was founded in 2007 in Golden, Colorado. Since that time the Firebox IT team has delivered training for well-known organizations including, BMW North America, General Dynamics, The Wharton School, Vertafore, Comcast, NREL, Citrix, Time Warner, State of Alaska and HomeAdvisors, just to name a few. Firebox instructors travel to client locations across the globe; most recently completing training in Pittsburg, New York, Boston, Austin, Seattle and Denver.

You have always offered such great training, it is a great idea for you to offer them on-line like this. And the early enrollment discounts are great. I will certainly look into signing up for some of this training because it is something that I can do from home. I look forward to researching what is available do the discounts you have here expire and when?

I think it is great that anyone who wants to receive IT training can do so from anywhere they reside in the country, or the world, for that matter. I am interested in seeing how they adjust to the ever changing IT field, where new technologies are always being developed. When it comes to development, things tend to change rather rapidly and it can be hard to stay ahead of the game with your skill set.

I am assuming that what is meant by tiered discounts’ is that if you enroll in more than any one course, you are eligible for a discount on each additional course. I like that and that these courses are small and intimate. I like that there is more instructor lead classes and lectures as opposed to just having video tutorials. I love video tutorials, but I think it is better to have variety.

You have to think that it is impressive how the firebox courses, which are comprised of some of the most in demand programming languages, remain rather intimate. That is important not only for the students, but also because the instructors and support staff isn’t forced to be spread too thin. When that happens in other larger school, the quality of the training diminishes.

I see what is meant by the headline – the part about firebox going super nova. I get it. They are exploding like a star in terms of their entire online interface and cloud servers. All these new courses certainly provide lots of options for any aspiring developer. I may just take one myself to brush up on my XML skills.
