JAVA Development Plug-In released by Jelastic
Jelastic is an online cloud services and hosting services provider. To facilitate Java development with the cloud platform of Jelastic, the company has come up with its own development environment that is integrated into the cloud platform, IntelliJ IDEA. Jelastic had announced earlier this month that it is partnering with Eclipse, one of the most widely used Java Integrated Development Environment providers. This announcement had sown seeds of speculation of Jelastic coming up with its own IDE. It is no surprise the IntelliJ IDEA is modeled along Eclipse; this is a smart move as Eclipse’s model is tried and tested.
Commercial and One of the Most Popular IDEs Available
According to programmers and experts, IntelliJ IDEA is one of the top commercially available Java IDEs. With the association with Eclipse IDE, Jelastic got the free pass to model their own cloud IDE along Eclipse’s model. Also, reliable sources from within Jelastic said that the company is working on plug-ins for other popular IDEs and they would release it in 2013.
Features in IntelliJ IDEA
One of the attractive features of IntelliJ IDEA is the code completion feature where the application will give suggestion to the keyword that you might want to use. Also, there is a user interface that can be used across different platforms and also supports editing in multiple programming languages. If the training institute can afford it, do recommend the usage of this IDE in your Java training curriculum as it is very convenient to use.
Empowering Developers
COO of Jelastic, Dmitry Sotnikov had said in a statement that the aim of Jelastic is to ease the pressures associated with hosting. Along with that, the company is also planning to empower developers with IDEs that make their job easier and focus all their energies on developing successful applications.
