Cambridge Based Organization Luring Teen Python Programmers
Teens are taking up programming as a hobby, and are finding that they are passionate about it.
Recognizing this trend, Start-up Institute, an organization that is Cambridge based, is luring teens who are passionate about programming. Also, the organization has its doors open, for any teenager who is passionate about technology, and has a desire to innovate and build something. Python programmers are especially in demand for a number of reasons, including the fact that, Python programmers can develop anything from enterprise applications to games.
Only 30 Slots
This organization is using the weekends to educate teens from high school about programming using different programming languages including Python. A Python course along with tutorials for other programming languages will be held during the weekends.
The teens can attend these programs, and equip themselves with programming knowledge that is considered vital in the present industry. However, there is a downside to this arrangement. The organization is offering only 30 slots to students. There has not been any news on how the students are selected for the available 30 slots from the number of students who apply for it.
Initiative for the Future
Aaron O’Hearn, the chief executive officer of the Startup Institute said that this institute would prove to be instrumental in training students to enable them to work immediately after graduating. He said that the US job market would have a huge requirement of Python programmers by the year 2020. Judging by the current trends, the number of college graduates who are trained in Python programming, is not going to be able to meet the demand in the job market. Consequently, there will be a huge shortage of supply of Python programmers.
It remains to be seen if the initiative by this organization, receives the expected response from the teens.
