February Update of “Right Now” Cloud Service from Oracle Out
Ever since the launch of its exclusive cloud services in 2012, Oracle has very openly advocated that it will continue to stand by cloud based services. The “Right Now” cloud based service was one of the first cloud ventures from Oracle. The company has now come up with the scheduled update release and it came out for the users in February 2013. Some of the top functionality that was improved with the latest update were the relevancy of messages with both the employees and customers, augment community engagement, and enhanced ROI tools. These tools are targeted to increase the revenue generated through online channels and also improve the satisfaction of the customers.
If you are taking up Oracle ADF training courses, you will have to familiarize yourself with some of these new features, especially if you have plans to work with cloud technology. Here are some of the new things that you can look forward to in the Right Now Cloud Service.
New Message Template Designer
The latest message template designer which was provided with the February, 2013 update of Right Now Cloud Service will display the messages based on the preset filters that are set for that particular recipient or the sender. If you wish to further customize your message, you can do so by adding logos, changing the alignment of the messages, add brand specific responses, etc. But the incident template will remain the same, ensuring the uniformity of messages.
iPad Mobile Agent App
The usage of mobile devices has increased drastically over the past year or two. As a result, Oracle has also decided to extend its capabilities to mobile devices. An app called the Mobile Agent App is specifically engineered and developed for the iPad. To improve the response time, the app has been provided with what is called as ‘intelligent offline cache’. This will ensure that your offline data will be synced when you connect to the cloud immediately, thus effectively reducing the overall response time. Also, if any new data is available on the server, your iPad will get synced immediately.
Innovative Engagement Engine
Online customer engagement has been taken to a whole new level with the new Engagement Engine for the Right Now Cloud Service. Users can now intelligently increase the engagement of online customers using the 70+ preset conditions and terms. You also have the option of managing the entry points in accordance with the business needs re-actively and proactively, which is a whole new dimension of online engagement tactics. You can also target your high valued customers by monitoring their web sessions closely. In case you want to, you can actually inset dynamic content and also trigger events dynamically, to ensure that the high value customers are served to the best of your abilities. You also have the option of delivering chat assistance dynamically and making on the spot offers based on online behavior patterns.
Improved ROI Tracking
Keeping track of ROI is one of the most important business activities in today’s world. With the new chat ROI reporting feature, you can keep track of the click through rates, average order values and even measure online conversion rates with a fair degree of accuracy. Sadly, this is something that they definitely do not teach in your Oracle training classes.
Managing Social Community
Community managers can now use the improved features which are designed along the lines of sticky notes. Using these notes, community managers can underline the most important content such that it will remain at the top of the lists. Also, there is a feature called as the ‘Private Message Management’ that will allow community managers to keep a check on the number of unwanted messages that they receive.
Adapting to Rapidly Changing Business Policies
The VP of products at Oracle, David Vap, issued a statement during the release of the latest Right Now Cloud Service update. He said that with the tools provided with the new update, organizations can now respond swiftly to the rapidly evolving business policies of the customers.
Also, these updates are suitable for both the private and public sector companies. The policy automation that the Right Now Cloud update provides will allow businesses to create, maintain and audit policies by themselves without any outside assistance. He added that this ability will not only reduce the operational costs that the company incurs significantly but also provides the customers with a transparent and consistent experience, something that customers value very highly.
