Firebox IT Training Offering New Java Server Faces (JSF) and Java Persistence API Training Courses
According to Firebox Training, two of the more popular emerging technologies for their course demands include JSF and Java Persistence API training courses. Firebox recently announced the addition of the new courses in response to direct feedback from clients and site visitor course requests. Rapidly advancing programming technology continues to provide additional challenges and new applications for existing languages. The Java training course offering expansion is part of an overall evolution at Firebox aimed at meeting IT demand ahead of the curve or “on-demand” and developing custom course ware based on practical use and real world examples.
The new course offerings also open up the class to a wider variety of students and can fit tight training budgets. The 2-day Java Server Faces Training 2-Day course ranges from $1295 to as little as $695 per day, depending on the number of students enrolled from a single organization. The 3-Day Java Persistence course ranges from $1,495 to as little as $795, depending on the number of students enrolling from a single organization.
Firebox may also add the course to its public course offerings in the future. All courses are technically open to the public, though typically clients request courses for company IT staff. Public courses allow for individuals to register for the same courses in an instructor led environment, live or online depending on number of students.
“We are constantly adding new courses to meet the demands of our clients” says Shawn Johnson, Director of Sales at Firebox Training. “We take action and find or create the right course to meet our clients’ needs” The core of Firebox has also included their popular custom course ware “We have already delivered these courses more than ten times since we added them. Johnson added. “We have also done customized Java training, both online and onsite.”
High-end expert instructors with real world experience deliver the instructor-led online classes. In keeping with Firebox Training’s commitment to flexibility the new course structure is designed to fit in with the busy IT workers’ schedule. Ideal for companies with IT staff in multiple locations, the courses are offered either as an instructor led online format, or in the traditional on-site settings.
JSF or Java Server Faces is a request driven framework used in creating user interfaces for web applications using components. The ability for JSF to handle multiple language input is one aspect that has led to its rapid expansion and practical use. Java Persistence or API is used for managing relational data. Many of the features of the third-party persistence frameworks were incorporated into the Java Persistence API which has made it a useful skill to learn.
Firebox Training was founded in 2007 in Golden, Colorado. Since that time they have delivered training for well known organizations including, General Dynamics, Bank of America, Comcast, Arbor Networks, US Courts, Time Warner, Vertafore, NREL, US Navy, US Army and HP, just to name a few. Instructors travel to client locations across the globe. Most recently Firebox completed training in Alaska, Sydney, Singapore, London, New York, Austin, Seattle and Denver.

Firebox seems to me to be one of the best established IT training video course. I am considering taking up a course to become proficient in one of these programming languages that are in demand within the IT job market. If the course load is anything like the sample video preview, then It should be well worth the money you invest in your future.

I think this is going to go over really good in the world of IT because they are all the time trying to find something that is better than what they have at the time. This is going to be that thing and it is going to last a long time from here on out I have a feeling. Great post thank you for the information I look forward to your next one.

I sure wish I could just plug into an information server and download the entire Java course data directly into my brain like Johny Neumonic. Although the courses look very easy to assimilate because it is published on video tutorials, it still is tedious to retain all of the information. You really have to invest many hours if you want to become proficient in Java server.
Saul says
The price for this 3 day course seems quite reasonable – provided that a 3 day course load can actually be useful to those who are new to this programming language. Perhaps it might be more effective for those who have already had an introduction to Java. I wouldn’t know. For years, I have been thinking about learning Java, but I have hesitated because I am aware that it takes hours upon hours to become proficient.

I have done some reading on this subject and have learned that the JSF provides a powerful framework for developing server-side applications, allowing you to cleanly separate visual presentation and application logic. JSF 2.0 is a major upgrade, which not only adds many useful features but also greatly simplifies the programming model by using annotations and “convention over configuration for common tasks.
Mark says
From what I have read, there is a clear need for an open-source version of Java 2, Standard Edition runtime platform, and there are many ongoing efforts to produce solutions (Kaffe, Classpath, etc). There are also efforts that provide alternative approaches to execution of Java bytecode (GCJ and IKVM). All of these efforts provide a diversity of solutions, which is healthy, but barriers exist which prevent these efforts from reaching a greater potential.

It’s amazing to see how drastically the Portlet API has evolved over the years. JSR-168 often felt like a step backwards from the older, non-standard JetSpeed API that provided features like messaging and simplified inter-portlet communication, to the newer JSR-286 specification that not only brings back the old inter-portlet communication features of old, but also simplifies common and often complex tasks such as AJAX interactions non-trivial state management tasks.

This is great because I am always looking for more possible training for computer courses I know a bit about computers but I am always wanting to learn more due to the changing trends all the time and I don’t have an IT degree so I don’t get the latest updates. Thank you for the information I am looking for more all the time and will check back.
Garland says
What I like about JSF is that it has set of pre-assembled User Interface. By this it means complex components are pre-coded and can be used with ease. It is event-driven programming model. By that it means that JSF has all necessary code for event handling and component organization. Application programmers can concentrate on application logic rather sending effort on these issues. It has component model that enables third-party components to be added like AJAX.

Claudia, you are right I wish I could do that to because I just don’t have the time to set down and watch the videos and do the studying required to get this down. People are just to busy these days in order to even do online studies. Something’s got to give when it comes to the business of everyday life not only is it preventing us bettering ourselves but it is killing us.

This is a great article and I am looking forward to looking into this further. You have a great post here and the more information you post on this the better business you are going to get out of this. Is the cloud anything like this or is it something all together different? I am going to do some more research to find out.

This course seems very timely. Firebox really is privy to what is going on in the IT industry. They have to be as part of doing their job because developers want to remain ahead of the curve with new technology. And can anyone honestly say it is possible to keep up with the ever changing, fast paced world of technology? Well, developers / IT pros better be able to do so…It’s their job.

I have gone to your site and you offer a lot more training then just this, I couldn’t believe it when I saw everything you have available on there. I am ok when it comes to knowledge about computers and software etc. but I am always looking to be better so this is the kind of training I have been looking for. Thank you for doing this article great job, keep it up.

There is so much technology out there these days like this that is going to take businesses to a whole other level. I haven’t started my business yet because I am still working on the complicated business plan but this information is going to help me a lot to be successful in the business world. Thank you for doing this I look forward to getting started.

My son is looking into taking some college courses to get trained on computers and I think these kinds of blog posts will help him a great deal in making the best decision that he can for what classes he needs to take. Thank you for the work you have put in to this article I look forward to seeing your next post I am sure it will be as good as this one.

I have been looking at taking some online courses for the computer the past three weeks and the more training I can get that is like this the less I will have to take these expensive course that the college offers. Thank you for doing this I look forward to the next time you do another post offering yet another great training.

There is little doubt that the rapid pace of digital / internet technology is something that developers really need to stay ahead of and that means your education never ends. There is always new languages being expanded upon and new platforms being created to compete with the existing ones. It’s a good thing Firebox training courses stay ahead of the curve and provide an easy way to learn programing – by watching an instructor demonstrate lessons.
Mathew says
I had heard some chatter in tech magazines about how this is a new Java Web technology that offers great benefits for Web application development. The only drawback that I have heard about JSF is that it is not supported in the current version of WebSphere Development Studio Client (WDSC 5.1.0.2), though JSF will be supported in a future version. Till then, you can become proficient with a Firebox Java course.
Billy says
The Firebox courses will be of most use to people in the “Anyone Who Wants to Make Games category, which is where I place myself. I don’t have ambitions to be the next Zynga or Activision; I want to be small but profitable. If you find yourself in a similar position, or even if you’re a one-man-band developer trying to make a living from indie games, you may find the courses here helpful.
