Pricing Released For Oracle Cloud Software Offerings
Cloud has clearly shown to be the top priority of most if not all service based companies for the next couple of years and Oracle has been at the forefront in this new business competition. While Oracle has had their share of new customers; Salesforce.com has become one of the companies to watch out for when it comes to cloud based services. Judging by the current market trends; many in the industry believe they are the ones to beat. Recently Oracle has come out with the pricing list for its newly revamped cloud based services. Although the release is not comprehensive, the pricing for their Java Development Service and on demand database is available.
Database Service
Database is probably where Oracle holds the trump card. We can say this because the company has just released their 12c database edition, which is a cloud-based service. It also involves the concept of pluggable databases, which is a revolutionary concept in itself.
Coming back to the pricing, the database service is provided using 11g R2 and the price for this is at $175 for a month of usage. With this package, you get 5 gigabytes of storage along with 30 gigs of data transfer. If you are looking for something in the next level, there is the $900 per month option. With this, you get 20 gigabytes of storage data and 120 gigabytes of data storage options. If you want even more volume, you can avail 50GB of storage and 300GB of data transfer for $2000 a month.
Java Development Service
Java is also one of Oracle’s trademark offerings and that service is also priced in different levels to help you according to your needs.
While the basic WebLogic server is priced at $249 for a month, you can get more by paying more. The maximum tier for this service is the one that you get by paying $1,499. You get four servers with more data storage and data transfer options.
Details Of laaS Service Unknown
If you have been taking Oracle training classes, you would understand the significance of laaS to Oracle’s prospects. While experts and critics had forecasted the prices of these services, the laaS service was the one which all of us had been waiting for. This service is generating high interest because the company has been projecting it as a competitor to Amazon’s web services. Amazon has acquired a reputation for low cost laaS and if Oracle’s prices are not competitive, they will not stand a chance.
