A recent internal Oracle document has come to light, quite revealing regrading its latest venture into Human Capital Management, also known as HCM. This is one of the hottest sectors of the IT world and the document that has been making the rounds highlights the strategy or the battle plan of Oracle near future. The document is 48 pages long and is titled ‘Fusion HCM and Taleo: GTM [go-to-market] Strategy and Partner Planbook’.
The document is also dated for the month of August 2012 and is pretty detailed about how Oracle plans to approach this new venture and it also has information on some of the scenarios, selling guidelines and other associated information. Oracle Invests US $1.9 billion on Taleo
Taleo is a vital part of the Oracle’s HCM plans and Taleo’s specialty will come in handy when the company starts taking significant steps towards implementing its plans. The subsidiary will entirely focus on rendering some of the applications that are dedicated for recruiting, learning and also employee orientation. SuccessFactors Bought by SAP
This deal was considered as Oracle retort to SAP on its acquisition of SuccesFactors for a record $3.4 billion deal. SuccessFactors has always been Taleo’s biggest competitor and SAP’s acquisition highlights the direction in which SAP is heading in its business strategies. As always, Oracle is not the one to be left behind and thus, the acquisition of Taleo.

HCM has been getting a lot of attention for the single fact that when implemented, it has the capability to reach out to each and every employee individually.
