Ever since Google came up with Android, more and more companies have wanted to add Android based products to their offerings. The latest to join the Android bandwagon are Huawei and Amazon. While Huawei is planning to release a clutch of Android based UI, smartphones and tablets, Amazon is more on the development side by setting up an app store in the United Kingdom.
These new developments are a testament to the growing popularity of Android and the eagerness of companies to make it a part of their offerings. It also helps that Android is a freeware and there is no restriction on who can take the existing system and tweak it or modify it for their own requirements. That move was probably a genius on the part of Google and if you are taking Android training classes, you might soon find opportunities galore, owing to the demand for android app developers.
Android Powered Tablets and Smartphones from Huawei
Huawei has not made so much of a mark as a consumer product developer. The latest bid to release Android devices to the market seems to be a proactive move by the company to establish itself as one of the leading players in the industry. According to reliable sources, there are six products from Huawei that will be released around the month of October. The most noteworthy feature of these new devices is that they come with a user interface that has been reworked, which will supposedly be a marked improvement on the existing UI.
Making a Mark in the Market
Over the past couple of years, we have seen that different companies have taken the same operating system and just tweaked the UI to give it a distinguished look, to differentiate it from the other companies on the market. However, we will have to wait and see if this is the right approach for Huawei. Although the company has made a mark in electronic products pertaining to telecommunication, they don’t have a reputation when it comes to other consumer products. This is what Huawei hopes to change with the release of these half a dozen products.
Director of Huawei’s global interface design, Dennis Poon, showed off the latest UI during the announcement of the launch of its new products. It is tentatively titled Emotion UI 1.0 and the new version supposedly makes the user more comfortable as it eliminates the confusing multiple screens and other such features. You might want to consider experimenting with these options if you are taking Android training courses.
Android App Store By Amazon
Meanwhile, Amazon recently opened their own Android app store in the United Kingdom and this will allow people of Great Britain to download Android apps from the Amazon store and pay for it by using their Amazon account, if they have one. This seems to be a move that is aimed at making downloading Android apps more comfortable and convenient. Some might say that this is intended as a substitute to the highly successful Google Play Store. According to Amazon spokespersons, this store is tailored to suit the UK audience specifically, although Android users from other countries like Italy, Germany, Spain and France can also download apps from the Amazon Android app store. The person also said that both the free and paid applications are made available in the market and you can make your pick.
Amazon spokesperson also said that this store is intended as a replacement for the Google Play store as the Amazon community has more customers and also has a more efficient payment system than the Google Play store. They also highlighted the fact that this was in a bid to make the services offered by Amazon comprehensive and covering the non-traditional areas like selling mobile apps. If you intend to be an Android app developer in your future by taking Android training classes and want to choose the stores on which you are going to release of your app, it is recommended that you release it simultaneously on both the Google and Amazon store.
SwiftKey, The Best Android App Ever?
There is also a new app on the Android market, named SwiftKey. This app is a productivity app that will give you suggestions on what your next word should be. Unlike predictive text, this app is more accurate and seems to guess the subsequent words more precisely. You can download the app from the Google app store and it is said that the app aids in increasing your productivity.
