Oracle announced the release of a new and improved Health Sciences Transition Research Center for its clients. The latest release boasts of new query capabilities which will allow users to target specific patient groups and quickly identify the common traits. Oracle claims that the new features will help both researchers and doctors.
For the researchers, it offers a quick way of grouping subjects based on the common characteristics they exhibit and perform trials or take any other course of action. For the doctors, it acts more of a planner which will enable them to chart out an effective course of action, eliminating the chaos and haphazardness associated with hospitals.
The latest release will enable clients to perform searches which are more specific and a lot of details can be included into the search to refine it. The search parameters include genotype and phenotype attributes also, which will mean that the results will be more refined than we have ever seen on a research center. Take the example of a search where the demographic, treatment time duration, cost, genetic variations and recorded results are used as the parameters to refine the search. They can group patients based on the exact results matching any of the search parameters and establish an inference based on those groupings.
The data handling capability and the speed is also improved in the latest release of the Oracle Health Sciences Transition Research Center. This will allow users to store huge banks of data and classify them based on any parameter they deem fit. The targeted searches are also faster with a new indexing method employed by the application which will identify and extract results at a faster rate.
If you are enrolled for an Oracle training course, you should ask you instructor to include a session or two on the discussion of this new product from Oracle. It will help you stay updated with the latest products and also perform a case study of this, if feasible.
