The HP TouchPad was released on August 19th, 2011, and sold out in 12 hours. Lines formed outside of Best Buy, and the item sold out on-line as well. For a time, HP did have a “Notify When Available” option on their website, however, due to overwhelming response, they have since discontinued this option. There is no date yet as to when, or if, HP will release more Touchpads.
The ingredient to it’s success, more so than it’s technology, is believed to be their price point at $99.00, a price reduction from $399.00 on some sites. The HP TouchPad was able to rival the Apple iPad in price and was successful at selling out. The iPad is selling for about $499.00. as are other tablets on the market today. However, if consumers are going to spend that kind of money, why not buy a laptop?
The HP Touchpad has nearly 400 apps and the Apple iPad has almost 100,000. Oracle ADF Training is sought after with these corporations as staying competitive is cut throat. Developers can earn a handsome salary to develop the latest and greatest new application. Oracle training is necessary for this.
